Environment

I would like to express my opinion about problems of nature. Nature conservation is very important factor of human existence. However, it is not accepted by many people. Nature values are not replaceabled. Unfortunately youth and rich people think yes. According to rich people we can buy everything and all the world is about money. Youth is inconsiderate too. Maybe somebody can argue that this problem was there all the time and became nothing horrible. But it is not true. Some evidences of destroyed environment are: lots of floods (because forests are cutted and there is too little trees which can not stop a lot of water from rivers), dry oceans, seas, rivers, lakes (because people build huge buildings where rivers were), landslides etc...Then, wild is close to our houses because animals know there is a food for them from rubbish that we threw away. That is the reason why we find these animals died - they eat too enough  harmful substances from rubbish. I want to say that our nature is a part of everyday life and we should protect it when we want to see for example Tatry mountains and world around us. Not only now but a few years later too.

Gel Cuts Women’s Risk of Herpes, Study Finds
Published: October 20, 2011

A vaginal gel that sharply reduces a woman’s risk of infection with the AIDS virus is even more effective against genital herpes, a much more common risk for young American women, a new study has found…The study, by researchers suggests that the microbicide gel, which was originally developed to fight AIDS in Africa, could lower the incidence of herpes in many women. “This could be incredibly helpful,” said Dr. Jeanne Marrazzo, a herpes expert from the University of Washington’s medical school. “Protection that a woman can control is the holy grail in this field. It’s hard for me to believe that something that protects against both H.I.V. and herpes wouldn’t be appealing to a lot of young American women.”… In the Caprisa trial, the gel was used within a few hours before and after sex. Another trial now going on is testing whether using it daily is more effective… The  gel may be even more effective against herpes than the 51 percent figure reached in the Caprisa study. Among the subset of women who said they used it consistently and who gave back enough empty gel applicator tubes to confirm they were telling the truth, the protection rate against H.I.V. was 54 percent and the protection rate against herpes was 62 percent, Dr. Karim said.

From my point of view this gel is a very good idea. It is important solve the problem of herpes because lots of women suffer from it. The gel can be useful for them.  From researchers point of view women can spend happier times of live without any problems. On the other hand some people do not believe it because they think it is one of the other lies. For example women who live in Africa believe nothing because they have got very difficult life and they do not think something can be useful for them. However, other girls that have got these problems should try the gel. If it will be successful and they will talk about it around the world lots of women will try it and they will get rid of disease.

About my family

As I mentioned in my last article my mum is Anne, dad is John and I´ve got one younger brother Matthew. Mum works in White house, she´s economist and dad works as truck driver in Austria. In our family everyone has some obligation. I must go for my brother who is at primary school, when my parents are in their jobs very long time. When I´m at home I should wash up, clean my room and living room. On Saturdays I usually hoovering. Matthew should clean his all toys. However, I often argue with my dad, beacuse I haven´t got enough money for me and he says I should try some job, but in Slovakia it´s very difficult. He doesn´t accept me. He accepts anything. I don´t like him ´cause he doesn´t hear me. Dad often says "you can pack your clothes in a suitcase and go away BUT you don´t return at home". When I will be 18 or 19 I will go away, don´t worry. I´ll finish this school, find some job and I´ll live in my own flat. My dad should start to believe it. I hope I will go out with my boyfriend forever and we will live together so far from our families.

Everything

My name´s Jane. I´m 17. I live in part of town called Nad Jazerom (Over Lake). It´s strange name, I know. I tell you, why this part is called "Over Lake". Here´s one big lake, where people go swimming, sunbathing, wakeskating or relaxing (for example there is pavement for roller-skating, places for snacks etc.). Houses and blocks are around the lake. My mum´s name is Anna (like you) and dad is Ján (in english John). I´ve got one brother, too. His name´s Matúš (Matthew). He´s 6 and this year he started go to school. I like books, for ex. Harry Potter, books from Dan Brown like Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons or something like that and I like music - I love songs by Enrique Iglesias, he´s the best for me:). At school I like languages. I learn English as you know and French. When I have some free time I spend it with my boyfriend. We usually go to Optima (it´s shopping centre in Košice), to pizza  or we´re on bed:). I like times with him. Then, I hate very hot weather and very cold weather, too. However, I love sleeping when I hear falling raindrops. So, it was almost everything things about me.

How my mother live when she was my age

My mum´s name is Anne and she´s 36. When my mother was 17 she has lived in big house in village. When she´s come back home from school she´s worked on field or garden and helped her mum. In school children couldn´t wear jeans. It was banned. In our town didn´t exist any shops, hypermarkets or something like that. It was only one big shop here, where people have bought everything. And children couldn´t be at disco or go out with friends at night. They had to be at home at 22 o´clock not  in the morning like me. From my point of view children have had good, easy and happy life. They didn´t be afraid of something. But on the other hand I think life is harder now than in the past. When I´ll be 18 I must work or go to university. However in Slovakia, the big problem is job. It isn´t some job for young people (for all people) here. My mum´s worked from 18 and she hasn´t got any problem find the job. I hope when I´ll finish this school I´ll find good job somewhere and my life will be without any problems.
